Our violin teachers can teach a wide variety of genres.The violin is normally associated with classical and folk music, but our violin teachers can teach every genre from pop to jazz and even some fiddle! Our students spend time each week working on technical skills to improve their sound quality and intonation, but also have their favorite songs incorporated into the lessons so they finish with their favorite piece. Our violin teachers, through their care and expertise, will certainly nurture any student’s love of the violin.
What styles of violin do you teach?
We teach all styles from classical, rock, pop, jazz, country, and blues.
How qualified are your violin instructors?
Our teachers have received their education from prestigious institutions such as Berklee College of Music, New England Conservatory, University of Missouri, UMKC, University of Kansas, Missouri Western State University, Benedictine College and Truman State. Many of our instructors have gone on performance tours of the US and Europe and have over 25 years of professional performance and teaching experience. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and strive to get to know each student and their parent on a personal level.

Do I need to purchase a violin to learn the instrument?
St. Joseph Arts Academy offers violins for student lessons (for your convenience, students can use one of ours at their first lesson). But to practice at home, you will need a violin.
